DBWI No Khalistan

Khalistan the sikh homeland.

Located between india and Pakistan Khalistan was created during the partition of india, this event nearly did not happen the british government during the time period wanted to leave as quickly as possible, and wanted to split india between hindu's and muslums. Sikh's who had fought for the british during the world wars partitioned the UK for a homeland of their own and were ignored by london.

But then men who had fought side by side with Sikh's decided to aid their comrads in arms and engaged in a peaceful protest. The british government was moved with pity and gave the Sihk's the provinces of Punjab, and Haryana, the small land locked country still exists to this day, but what if the protests didn't happen? What would the world look like with out Khalistan?

You might see a bit of terrorism conducted against India, both at home and among the Sikh diaspora in places like the UK and Canada.

But that would have limited impact on international relations. It's not like the Canadian Prime Minister is gonna go to India and have people upset because his country is soft on Sikh terrorism.

We probably would not have the large-scale conversions to Sikhism in Central Asia.

Khalistan became a surprisingly large technological hub, though I figure the Sikh military service and preference in the British Commonwealth made it a bit obvious in hindsight. So it led to Khalistan doing a lot of businesses with Central Asia and Sikhism appealed to a lot of the people there.

Khalistan also helped ousted the Taliban from Afghanistan years ago as well when that border skirmish happened.

They probably wouldn't have annexed Hokkaido as well...:idontcare:

Oh god this baseless conspiracy theory again.

For the last time Kalistan has not 'annexed' Hokkaido. People really need to stop pay attention to Infowars Japan.
No, I am trying to underline the lack of logic of having large-scale Sikh coversions in Central Asia.

The ethnic cleansing of Hindus would not have happened, and so Akshay Kumar, his Indian Punjab Liberation Army, and their terrorist activities wouldn’t have happened.

And best of all, Khalistan wouldn’t have been such a hellhole with a regime change every few years and political infighting regularly killing thousands.

OOC: Yeah I don't see this happening. Sorry but while Sikhs did make up majorities in some areas before partition Amritsar and Lahore which they most certainly would had taken in this Sikh independent state in the 1940s had many Hindus and Muslims, so unless the mass migrations still happen as IOTL I don't see this happening. Also why would Khalistan have Haryana? Why would they want more non-Sikhs than what they already have?
