DBWI No Czech war in 1938

Suppose Conservatives had not been in office in Britain when the depression struck. Might a Labour/ Liberal administration have lost heavily in an election between 1930 and 1933. Might a conservative dominated administration have led Britain in the 1930s. Some Conservatives, even after war started, thought that 'appeasing' Hitler was a wise policy.
Without Lloyd George's government, so committed to small nations, would the Nazis have had a chance of taking the Sudeten land, and perhaps other parts of Czechoslovakia without a fight
Some feel that although Germany was again defeated this was an unnecessary war caused by an old man wanting to relive past glory
Would Hitler have attempted further encroachments on other states?
Would the Tojo Stalin agreement on Oil, Natural resources and the division of China to spheres of influence have still happened?
Would we still have a Cold war against with the Soviet/ Japanese alliance?

On the other hand are the defenders of the war correct, that this war was needed. The deal with Poland, giving them Danzig and East Prussia may have been essential for victory.

Some believe that the eventual deal, whereby the Hapsburgs reign over Austro Germany is the best that could had been achieved and in recent years the Emperors appear to be truly Constitutional Monarchs.

But if the allies had stood firm with Czechoslovkia then it is highly likely that the German army would have removed Hitler from power. All that was needed was for Chamberlain and /or the French to show some backbone.
Thus there would have been no war, Poland would not be invaded and it is likely that the Soviets would not have seized the Baltic states.

That's not what happened in the dbwi.

I think appeasing Hitler would have been a mistake. When Britain promised to protect Czechoslovakia; Poland and France followed suit and we got a war that Hitler had problems fighting. If Britain had appeased Hitler in Czechoslovakia and the same thing happened later in Poland, there's no way Hitler would be have got enough. Hitler would have allied with USSR and Japan, throw Mussolini and perhaps even Inonu in Turkey in that alliance, and we would have a Cold War much worse than the one we had. Even though Hitler and Stalin hated each other they both knew an alliance could break the Western democracies. Stalin allied with the Japanese so why couldn't he ally with Hitler!
No, it was good the Germans were defused in time.

I suppose you could have the Germans be a lot sneakier and British intelligance a lot less effective so it seems the Germans are stronger than they are. Then appeasment would seem a good idea well into the 40s.
Also I guess if the depression was handled worse for Britain as it was in other countries it could be in a worse state come the rise of the Narzis? Nassa? NAZI? I can't remember

Oh please, I am so tired of all the ridiculous anti-German fearmongering; all they wanted was to liberate other Germans under foreign rule, most of whom weren't all that well off. Sure, there might have been a few people in the ruling party with odd ideas, but we all know the big businessmen and military were really in charge of Germany and they wouldn't have let things get out of control.
