Christopher Nolan's Captain America trilogy had a massive impact on both film and superheroes. Before these movies, superheroes were thought of as entirely for kids, however Nolan gave us a complex, interesting trilogy that explored the themes of patriotism, freedom vs security, loyalty to one's country, and what it truly means to be a soldier. They also had an amazing Red Skull in the second movie; Christoph Waltz gave us the definitive performance of the character. So, what would change if these movies were never made?
