[I think I've got a pretty good feel for DBWI's, but if this is misplaced, let me know: What I could/should have done differently, Where a thread like this belongs, Just exactly what DBWI stands for and, in short, what it means. Thank you in advance.]

Well, The Crisis of '08 has come to this and now is the moment of truth: The Ammendments have been ratified, the agreements made, the back room deals brokered, the districts drawn up, the new state Constitution ratified and all that's left is the new state of New England, the merger of the former states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusettes, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine to elect their first Governor and two U.S. Senators in the special election.

The former sitting governors of the former six states have all thrown their hats in the ring, but there's other challengers out there.

Polls close on Nov. 5!

The Candidates:

Former Massachusettes governor Deval Patrick (D)

Former Connecticut governor Jodi Rell (R)

Former Vermont governor Jim Douglas (R)

Former New Hampshire governor John Lynch (D)

Former Maine governor John Baldacci (D)

Former Rhode Island governor Donald Carcieri (D)

Other (Please Specify! Every Vote Counts!)

Poll for electing new U.S. Senators to open... in another thread!

OOC: The handwavium and ignorance of butterflies makes me cry.

Yes...if only I had done something like asked for some advice on how I could have done things differently or for some contructive criticism by which I could have done this better, or such...

So no election for the Representatives?

I kept it to Governor and Senate.

Reps would have been district by district and it would have looked like spamming the board.

Besides, it's apparently upset the sensibilities of some folks already as it is.
