DBWI: Netflix Succeeds

As we all know, Netflix was the first attempt at an Internet-based video store. Eventually, though, they succumbed to the dot-com bubble bursting and were bought out by Hollywood Video at the end of 2001 (after rejecting Blockbuster's attempt, they went with Hollywood Video due to their better deals.).

But what if this ambitious new company succeeded in the end? Would RedBox (which is the third largest video rental chain, beating out Movie Gallery.) even exist?

I know the experimented with streaming movies for a while, but abandoned it after the costs became prohibitive. You'd really need to figure out a way to boost bandwidth tech.
