DBWI:National American Association calls for WW2 film to be banned

Today, the chairman of the NAA, along with the board of the KKK, called for the new Tarantino film 'Glory Dogs' to be banned on the grounds that it 'defiles the image of our great inspiration Adolf Hitler' and that it 'promotes jewry and by extension communism'. They also objected to the depiction of Nazis as evil and the prominent Jewish and black actors featured in the film. Reportedly, Tarantino has recieved much hate mail from such groups who have accused him of being a 'commie liberal Jew'.

What do you think of all this?

OOC:If you can't tell, this is a TL where various fundie groups in the US are much more powerful.

OOC: I think the whole premise is a bit ridiculous but hey.
IC: I thought it wasn't a perticualy brilliant cinematic piece but he should none the less be allowed to screen it at will, end this ridiculous censorship.

So just because the Soviets arent depicted as a bunch of drunk rapists they go mad?

No wonder the new poll are suggestig the US is the most hated nation in the world.

So it depicts the Nazis as being the utter scum* that they were. Suck it up, buttercup.

So why is it that the Americans, who helped burn Nazi Germany to the ground, and who cheered when Stalin and Churchill (1) had Hitler publicly hanged, are now so quiet when their own Nazis try to rewrite history? Come on, yanks, your traitors in the NAA and the KKK deserve Hitler's fate. It is very, ah, fitting, isn't it?

Sure, Glory Dogs (2) is a wild revenge fantasy which plays merry hell with reality and history itself, but so what? It is just a Tarantino film, for Christ's sake!

*Apologies to scum, as the Nazis (American, German, or otherwise), make scum look good and decent. But, alas there is no word that better describes what Nazis are.

OOC (1) Probably one of their few points of agreement...

(2) I take it that this is an alternate (and equally good) version of Inglorious Basterds?
