DBWI-Mad Men in early 60s.

Is little known that "Mad men",the TV serial on the late 30s/early 40s ADS men of Madison avenue, was originally set in early 60s (think a Don Draper without the iconic double breasted suit and the fedora hat,if you can)!
In your opinion the show would be the same great success if set in JFK era?

Jumping in for giggles

(OOC I'm imagining Mad Men as a miniseries of Glengarry Glen Ross or dog-eat-dog salesmanship)
You'd go from a really interesting look at Depression-era work politics and how you pitch to broke people to one the challenges of prosperity where America's primed to buy anything just because times are relatively good and everyone's chasing the idea of the "good life" after the privations of the Depression and WWII.
IOW JFK-era Mad Men primed to vanish so far up its own rectum with philosophizing about the emptiness of consumer culture it'd make John from Cincinatti seem coherent and worthwhile.
