As those fluent in Great War / Russian history, a prominent Russian Bolshevik, Lenin, was situated in Switzerland when the Tsar abdicated. However, while being able to negotiate his way through Germany via train, he didn't calculate for uninformed soldiers or rogues (jury's still out on that, as far as I know) to cut off the train and destroy it, killing the prominent Bolshevik.
Now, what if he didn't die? It wouldn't've been particularly hard, and we in the 21st century know of his travel plans. What if he made it to Finland Station in Petrograd? I'm aware that the Soviet there was primarily Menshevik, so the two wouldn't have cooperated well. Would the moderates in the Soviet be swayed by Lenin? What would the future of Russia be?
