DBWI: Lance Henriksen not the Terminator

IC: Have you all heard that after James Cameron's recent success with Aliens 3 he is planning Terminator 3? Apparently this one is set near the end of the war with Skynet and is about John Connor sending Kyle Reese back to become his father. Lance Henriksen is also reprising his role as the Terminator

Anyways, what if some other actor played the Terminator? Would the franchise have been so successful? What effects would it have had on James Cameron's career?

But Henriksen was so great, adding that disturbing "mantis" layer to his character. Who could've filled his shoes?? The whole concept of the Terminator (what made it cool) was that it "could be anyone in a crowd of people".

Who do you think could've fit the bill instead??

Madness! No other actor ALIVE could ever do justice to the role of the Terminator! Besides, THINK of what you're proposing! Are you so politically naive that you don't realize those movies launched Lance's career on the national political stage! Where would this country be today if, following 9/11, we didn't have the Terminator as President and Commander-in-Chief!? You should him a letter of apology!
