DBWI Kurdistan not created

Fake-Kurdistan.jpg

In the aftermath of world war one the victorious allies decided to devide up the middle east, those who had rebelled in favor of the allies were rewarded with land. One of the countries that was created out of the carcus of the ottoman empire was Kurdistan.

Today dispite a checkered history Kurdistan is one of only two legitement democracies in the middle east, three if you count Lebanon, but what if this didn't happen? What if Kurdistan wasn't created?

Kurdistan is a huge player in the middle east. Only the Shah of Persia has more prestige and global influence and given the incompetence of the previous Shah, they have a fair bit of catching up to do. It's hard to imagine what it would be like. What nations would there even be in the middle east in such a scenario - Persia existed beforehand, but the Ottomans controlled such a vast territory before the war?

Without Kurdistan you would see more of the colonial states. Look at the borders of Syria, Iraq and Jordan - they have been drawn in the sand, without regard for the nationalities living there, ancient tribes inhabitating those lands for thousands of years. If Kurdistan was not created, there would more social unrest in those areas.

Armenia would have to throw their tantrums at Turkey, instead of Kurdistan. Armenia and Kurdistan have a sort of rocky relationship since most of the land near the north formerly were inhabited by Armenians.

Lets be fair to the Armenians they still throw tantrums at Turkey, and Iran, and Georgia, and Azerbarjian.

Their government throws equal opportunity tantrums.
