DBWI: Kim Jong-il not Canadian

With the recent death of Kim Jong-il one of the greastest Canadian director/actor I think we could wonder what would have happen if his parent never moved from Korea to Canada after the allied victory in the Korea war

Today Korean film is film made by Koreans, but with fundamentally Western ideas about what cinema should be. If Kim Jong-il had moved back to Korea South Korean cinema would have a director with the technical accumen to make Asian film respected.

you know, i had a dream about that. basically, he ended up a dictator. pretty wierd, huh?

I'm not sure that a dream a really good basis for historical research, plus the guy was pretty lowly back in Korea (wasn't even born there), but his father had communist sympathies back in those day but lost the bulk of them when he got in Victoria he might have done good if Korea turned red luckily that wasn't the case.
