DBWI: Japan not divided and its effects in Anime

As I remember Japan is divided into two countries after WWII, one centered in Tokyo and one centered in Kyushu...Both Japans have their own versions of Animes and Mangas, the division of Japan is in the border of Kansai Area and Nagoya area, the government of Eastern Japan is similar to Finland while the West is a fascist capitalistic country and still led by the Emperor.

The Anime in Eastern Japan is inclusive and liberal and has more artistic expression and even has genres that are about gays and lesbians and some have deep themes and a lot of those artists that have started their careers in the West like Osamu Tezuka of Astroboy, Hideaki Anno of Evangelion and CLAMP of Card Captor Sakura left Western Japan for Eastern Side for their careers, how would a united Japan effect these industries?

Well, to avoid a divided Japan you'd have to have the Qing Empire lose much worse; OTL they were in a position to invade Japan along with the USSR, because the Japanese were stopped at Nanjing. Western anime is quite influenced by Chinese animation, so I suppose that with a Japan united under Communism you'd have anime totally influenced by Soviet animation.

OOC: I think you might mean Kyoto (a city), rather than Kyushu (which is an island).
Yes, I meant the division is between the Nagoya and Kansai area basically the capital of Western Japan is Kyoto while the capital of Eastern Japan is Tokyo, the relation of these two countries are like Moldova and Romania.

edited the orig. post.

plus now eastern japan has same sex marriage..

We thought that Japan would be united in 90s like how Germany in soon since the Anime industry was united in the 80's but they started to diverge again in the mid 90's and still now they are divided due to the ideological differences.
