After WW1 Italy received the territory they were promised at treaty of London, which handed large parts of the Dalmatian coast and Trieste over to them, much to the dismay of the Croats and Slovenes living there, but it turns out their were plans to go back on this treaty in favour of giving most of Dalmatia to a south Slavic state (Trieste would still remain Italian, can i get an F in the chat for the Slovenes) , while giving only the Italian majority regions to Italy, with them being essentially cheated out of their promised land, what would happen?

Could it lead to a rift between Italy and the former entente powers, leading to it siding with a Revanchist Germany in hopes to claim the territory's it was promised?
It would inevitably lead to sour relations with any state who owns these lands, could a war be possible between them that devastates the region or maybe even possibly leads to an earlier WW2?

An upside would be smaller scale repression of ethnic Croats and Slovenes, which is good for...obvious reasons that i shouldn't have the get into.
