Since Independence day is coming soon May 7th I figured I would do a topic on it.
Moses Hess the father of modern day Israel was initially fixated on Palestine as a home land for the jewish people. After gathering allies in finace, in politics he spent years trying to find a place for a jewish home land. Then Denmark embarked on a series of disasters that more or less bankrupted the country. In 1870 with the help of several banking families, and the donations of jews around the world Moses was able to buy Green land from the Danes creating a Jewish state.
Its been over a hundred years since then and the republic of Israel is still kicking and has become a successful republic, but what if Hess had continued his obession with the levant? What if Denmark had had more economic luck and advoided disaster.
What would the world look like if Israel remained Greenland?
