I know, I know it sounds unlikely but the Axis probably wouldn't have won the war.
OOC: I challenge you to explain that
The Isle of Wight was a refuge for British Facists after their leadership was hung in the streets during a March in London's East end.
The Facists paid more for the property on the Isle of Wight than it was worth, people who wouldn't sell were often forced out. Leading Churchill to refure to it as the Isle of Wrong.
After the fall of France the Isle of Wright allowed German troops onto the island, shipping them there with British flagged ships during the evacuation of Dunkirk. The Germans set up artillery and air bases on the island and used it as a staging ground for a planned invasion. Britan made peace before that happened, granting the Isle of Wright its independence.
To this day it is still refured to as the Isle of Wrong.
