DBWI: Internationale victory in the Second Weltkrieg?

The Second Weltkrieg was undoubtedly one of the biggest wars of the 20th century, fought between Mitteleuropa (Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, White Ruthenia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Ottoman Empire, Denmark, and Ireland) versus the Internationale (France, Britain, the Socialist Republic of Italy, the Scandinavian Union, the Iberian Federation and the Bharatya Commune) with the Entente (Canada, Carribean Federation, the Dominion of India, the Australasian Confederation, the French Empire, the Italian Federation, Iceland, and Portugal) playing a major part also.

The partition of France between the French Empire and the German-puppet state Republic of France (let's face it, it was a puppet state until the liberalization of the 60s and 70s) as well as the restoration of the United Kingdom during what is known as the Second Glorious Revolution (due to the efforts of Lawrence of Britannia against the syndicalist regime) and tensions with the staunchly pro-Mitteleuropa Ireland and former British colonies seized by Germany would later lead to the Kaltekrieg.

At first the Internationale were successful in pushing up to the Rhine and into Bavaria with the French tank warfare tactics, but were eventually turned back by Mitteleuropan forces in large part due to the pressure of the French Empire's invasion of Italy as well as the Entente offensive in Spain. Had the Internationale succeeded would Germany have been partitioned into four different socialist states as Sorelian military plans suggested?

Also, what impact could Savinkov's Russia or the Japanese Empire have had on the war had they not been distracted by being at war with each other over Kolchak's breakaway state at the time? Could the United States of America have intervened (some argue that had Germany or Ireland fallen to the Internationale the influence of their diasporas could have forced America to join the war) or was it too busy rebuilding after their bloody civil war?

Okay, I can actually answer this one.

For how the Internationale could have won, what I think you need to do is to have WKII start earlier. Preferably right after the beginning of the Weltwirtschaftskrise that started with the Black Monday. There were a number of events which could have started the war before the demand for Alsace-Lorraine - Germany banning the FAUD, which severed German-French relations in OTL, and also the Romandy Crisis in 1938. But the sooner you start, the better, because Germany would have been weaker, it's army was disorganized and even lacked a major tank arm, unlike the French.

What you could also do is butterfly sway the war in Transamur and instead have Russia target the West. Have the Faith and Nation obtain more influence in the Russian government, which would basically be an instant road to war between Germany and Russia, and thus when WKII starts, Germany will be busy with a two-front war.

Now, about the postwar. We don't actually know what French plans for an occupied Germany were. Georges Valois never left an official opinion on Germany's fate, and the whole "dividing Germany" solution was more of a Jacobin proposal as far as I recall. Considering that the Communards kept up very positive relations with the FAUD and KPD, the possibility of Germany simply being restored as a Syndicalist republic is a much more likely possibility. Depends on what the Union of Britain does as well. If France is more successful in the Western Front, or if Russia joins the war, they could actually go with the "Denmark gambit" and take North Germany from there, and thus split the country into two. Same could happen if Russia joins and reaches Germany at the same time as France rolls through it.

There is no way that France could actually reach any of Germany's colonies, so unless Wilhelm II dies on the way, Germany will likely end up exiled. I even expect them to join the Entente at that point, since their homeland would be completely overrun.

Outside of Europe, which will probably become a Syndicalist backyard, it's hard to say what will happen around the rest of the world, to be fair. Without Germany as a world power and France not strong enough to replace them, it's hard to say who will come out on top. The Entente can't do anything to the Internationale without the Germans doing the heavy lifting, and unless Russia gets their shit together and joins Mitteleuropa or Entente, it'll likely stay that way. Hell, Russia is likely the kingmaker here.

Maybe if the CSA had decided to join forces with the Internationale things would have likely gone different, but given how badly damaged they were from the Civil War and how tenuous they believed their hold on power was they didn't want to risk a war with the damn Canucks. American involvement could have been enough to tip the scales, though whether that means world revolution or just that the Cold War won't be an Old World/New World split is anyone's guess.

Im pretty sure the CSA was crushed by the feds back in the 30s you could have stronger support but lets face there is no way youre gonna be winning and the federal army with doug mac in the lead
