I'm an American, but I do have an interest in Canadian politics. While visiting the Canadian Parliament website, I noticed that former minister of justice and Kim Campbell was a candidate for the PC leadership in 1993, although she ultimately lost to the young yet uninspiring Jean Charest.
As you remember, Jean Charest lead his party to historic defeat, only maintaining 35 seats. Could Campbell, who would have been the first woman Prime Minister of Canada, made any difference?
