DBWI: How to Avoid German Civil War?

In 1935, the GCW broke out between the Trotskyists, Wehrmacht, and Schutzstaffel, but how would this be prevented? And what would the consequences be?

Well, a good way to prevent the German Civil War could be a more pragmatic Soviet leadership like one led by Nikolai Bukharin or Joseph Stalin, both of whom espoused "socialism in one country".

Another good way to potentially prevent the German Civil War would be to have the Soviet Union win the 1929-1933 Russo-American War. If they'd won, Trotsky likely wouldn't have felt the need to attempt to kickstart a communist revolution in Germany.

I wouldn’t call that so much a war as a string of crushing and humiliating defeat’s for the Soviets that accomplished absolutely nothing besides killing about 70,000 soldiers.

We need something that would keep tensions between Strasser and Hindenburg low.

Well, Strasserist Alaska did become free from both sides during the war.

“Yeah. The Alaskan War killed pretty much everyone in Alaska. Not even the most ardent opposition of Strasserism was happy about that.”

OOC: Unless you've replaced the inhabitants with the IJA or made the USMC employ horrific warcrimes against former/future US citizens, I can't see you getting "Everyone" killed. Sooner or later the Alaskan's would see they're fucked and they'd surrender.

The USSR had zero chance of taking Alaska back from the US. The US had a real navy and the USSR didn't. It sends its fleet to the Bering Straits cutting off any Soviet troops that made it there after wiping out the Far Eastern Fleet down to the last rubber duck. Cut off from supplies the Soviet troops are doomed.

Believe me the Soviet union thought they could put enough boats in the water that the U.S. Navy could not sink all of them before they reached Alaska. Not to mention their proclamation that any of the failed invaders who was sent back to the Soviet union would be executed for being traitors to the revolution because they didn’t succeed in conquering Alaska. It’s the reason why Alaska has the largest Russian population in the Country is that no one knew what to do with them after the war ended so we just stranded in there so they couldn’t make any problems.

The war wasn't really about Alaska as much as ending American supremacy. That's why Trotsky moved in on Germany when he thought Hindenburg would attack. He was right.

How was the war about US supremacy when we demanded that they pay us back the money that we loaned them. Money that they publicly agreed to pay us before Trotsky Took over and purge the government and claimed that the agreement was void.

Yeah, that was just the final casus belli. Really, the US thought it a good idea to support anti-Soviet rebels in Vladivostok - why Al Smith did this, nobody knows..
