DBWI: How do you feel about this idea of of women getting the vote?

I think there should be a clear divide of the genders

Only women can vote

But only men can be politicians
(except for female nobles in their own right of course, we don't want to impose any restrictions on the House of Lords)

That will sort the world out !

As per typical, you are all for the rights of maintaining the double standards of the so-called "aristocracy". Although the idea that only women can vote is a rather amusing and surreal one...

Good to see a fellow Brit commenting on this issue, at least tho', since as usual the thread is full of Americans complete with most of their usual racial prejudices. How they manage to get by with saying "these truths are self-evident, that all men are created equal" is somewhat bizarre I think.

Personally I suppose it's a good idea that we've managed to have votes for women over 30 here, though I still suppose that women in leadership are supposed, Bibllically, to be the exception to the rule (e.g. Deborah the judge). I suppose they are less naturally inclined to do so, but at the same time, I think it fair that women who are involved in a society every bit as much as men have the right to have some say in what goes on, so I at least support the right for female householders to be able to vote from 21 up the same as us men.

Frankly, I'm happy about it. As far as I'm concerned, women are equal to men! Complete equality should be our goal. This is only the first step.
Are you crazy? complete equality? You one o' dem socialist SOBs thay got runnin sh*t these days? betta' w'thc 'ur m'th 'for I... [slumps over, drunk]

Do you really want the Presidents wives running this country? Look at that Hillary Clinton character.

Before you know it "hockey moms" are going to be running for President. It'd spell our ruin I say!

I am somewhat sympathetic, but every time I see these suffrage protesters exposing their breasts, burning their bras, kissing other girls, etc, I can't help but feel they are not ready for voting rights.

I know, I know, it's just a few bad apples. But still, I can't help it.
