DBWI:Hooker loses at Chancelorville.

This may be near ASB but what if Hooker ignored the warnings about General Jackson trying to flank him and would have been suprised by him instead of having many entrenched infantry when Jackson hit and as a consequence Jackson lost half his men and Lee had to get the hell out of Dodge and bolts to Northern Virginia after losing 1/4 of his troops?

Knowing Jackson he would probably start scouting for routes at night. As a result his own men would mistake Jackson and his staff as Union cavalry and open fire. Jackson will be hit possibly mortally. He'll at least lose an arm.

OOC: Let's be SOMEWHAT realistic here. Barring ASBs the South isn't going to win the Civil War as long as the North is willing to pay the butcher's bill. There were at least 2 Northerners for every Southerner and the North had at least 5 times more money. The Southern economy was in a decline from at least late 1862 while the Northern economy was booming from at least the same date. Almost nobody moved to the South during the war while enough moved to the North that the North had more people at the end of the war then the start of it. The South had towns that had very few young men after the war because almost all of them were dead.

Actually, in OTL the failure on Howard's part, not Hooker's. Howard ignored Hooker's orders to prepare against a possible flank attack.
