DBWI: Hitler

I've been reading about the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party. The one who held the Putsch in 1923, where he was fortunately shot dead. I've been looking into it and I think he was more insane than people give him credit for, I mean down right batshit. And his main followers didn't seem much better.

Anyhow, I don't know who else has read about him. But what if he had won? Or not had the putsch and came to power later? What would a NSDAP Germany have looked like?

Honestly, he may have been a racist megalomaniac, but anything, I mean ANYTHING, would have been better than the consequences of Germany's communist movement seizing power.

Europe is still rebuilding after the damage visited upon everything east of the steel wall.

Well... Nobody could guess that those "Infatile Leftists" would be worse than Lenin? Could they?

Well... With a more pro-Nationalist stance, I guess Germany would start WWII earlier. Maybe there would be an articulation with Fascist Italy and Spain, and then Fascism wouldn't be regarded mostly as a South American phenomenon.

But, to be sincere, I doubt they would last too much. Fascism is irrational by itself, and this irrationality goes for its Generals too. With a strong Poland I guess they would last only some months. This to not speak that the League of Nations wouldn't be scared of defying two European powers alone instead of the feared Comintern.

Hitler was a mentally unstable veteran of the Great War. He would have lasted only a brief time, and then been replaced by that paper-hanging son of a bitch Otto Wels.
