We all know that, on the 9th of October 1938, Maurice Bavaud fatally shoot Hitler as he paraded through the streets of Munich during the anniversary of the Beer Hall Putsch. This led to Hess taking over as Führer, with all his mental issues that we know of today, which led to the invasion of Poland and led to Germany's defeat in WW2.

My question to you is, what if Hitler wasn't killed? What would happen if Hitler had lived on as the Führer? He did promise no more territorial claims in Europe, and his previous deals with the West, such as the Anglo-German Naval Agreement, had shown him to be trustworthy enough to hold that promise. Could the war and the extermination of the Jews be prevented this way?

What do you think?
