Clement Atlee is the best. No competition! Gordon Brown should not be in that list! His term has been a complete failure. The decade of 'prosperity' we experienced was merely a bubble of consumerism, inflated by the public who were allowed and encouraged to borrow beyond their means. Also, what kind of Chancellor in a right state-of-mind sells off a county's gold reserves when the price of gold is low?!
Having Brown in that list is almost like a sick joke!
Why not mention Tony Benn. The man who not only faced off, but brought down the Soviet Union with an isolated Britain in the Tallinn crisis. Not only that, he invested heavily in British Rail so that we now have the world class rail service we have today! I mean to say, £5 for a fare anywhere? Can that really be beaten?
