DBWI-GM kills the Pontiac Fiero

IIRC Authi's not allowed to sell their cars or race them in the US thanks to that Name confusion thing with Audi (and Audi's Lawyers.) So SEAT and Santana are having to do all the heavy lifting.

That's weird - Audi is pronounced /ɔːdi/ (AU-dee) and Authi is pronounced /aʊθi/ (OW-thee) - in other words, the two marques are pronounced differently and hence there is no name confusion - especially considering that the logos, too, are different. Authi is allowed to sell their vehicles in Canada since the whole name confusion thing was seen as being bollocks, amongst other things.

Well, Lawyers are capable of some amazing things.

Well, yeah. Hey did you guys see that SEAT's trying to get into racing here in the US? They've been recruiting Semi-pro guys from the SCCA to run in Super 2000 series, and just approached me. I'm not sure if I should do it.

I'd say go for it. Is this the Super 2000 on the racetrack or Super 2000 in rallying?

I've been asked if I want in on a new Mazda Atlantics team, too. I'm debating whether I want to make the investment. It's not cheap ($150K), but I'm seriously considering it.

Rallying. Mostly Special Stage Rallies from what I hear.
I'm not sure about dumping $150k into a Team, SEAT's just offered me a Job as a driver.

OOC: Well, Let's just bring it in then. :D

IC: So, with everybody here It seems like, I just have to ask what your Opinion on the new Lotus designed AMC AMX is. I mean it is really just a Europa with an AMC V6 and Transmission fitted.
Pshaw, I prefer the good old Javelin. The latests ones have some pretty hot small-block V8s. With AMC's engine-management technology, they get pretty good fuel economy considering their size and performance.

They do work fairly well, but I still think that turbocharging and that Miller Cycle motor Mazda and Ford are working on is gonna be the future, especially once the law mandating high quality fuel comes into effect.
