DBWI: Germany had lost the Second Great War

Well Russia wasn't exactly going to get off easy, after the Russian army basically raped and pillaged their way across Eastern Europe. Seriously Ukraine suffered 30% population lost following the Russian invasion and occupation, the Baltics lost over 40% and Polish-Lithuania 25%. Not to mention the vicious meat grinders that were Warsaw and Kiev.

Well actually a quarter of the PACFLEET was actually stationed in Pearl at the time including the carriers Yorktown and Wasp. Not to mention retaking the Hawaiian islands proved to have been a vicious meet grinder, against the fanatically Japanese defenses and those landings palled to that of operation Downfall. If only we had developed the particle bomb before hand.

yeah but most of the fleet the Lex, Sara, Big E, Hornet, and the fresh on the slips Essex were either just fishing trials and commissioning or were taking on their air group, of course, we were lucky Halsey Spruance and Nimitz were leading the fight and could actually see that the BB was starting to get obsolete instead of one of the men of the Battleship Lobby. As for the Hawaiian campaign eh most of the initial objectives Pearl the city was taken with relatively light losses it was driving the Japanese out of the caves that were the real grinder. And I'm thankful downfall was stopped after we took Kyushu and shelved Cornet and just waited for Japan to starve which brought us time to finish the bomb and force Japan to surrender at least the emperor did the military attempted a coup that killed him but it was too late and the message was out and well it did the trick. I can only imagine the hell that would be slogging up through the rest of home islands.

Well has bad has the French NatSynds were they were pretty much the weakest of the trifecta alliance. Especially when you consider that in many ways they were still recovering from the civil war, in the 1920's following the end of the first Great War and the conditions of the Berlin City Palace treaty. The only reason they lasted so long was from the industrialization of French North Africa.

The biggest threat were the Russians and their massive industrial output and reserves of human cannon fodder. Of course when the MittelEuropan forces drove them from the cities of Warsaw and Kiev and the American forces successfully opened a second front against Russia in East Asia it was clear that the Russian's days were numbered.
