Who knows? Maybe since the USSR collapsed, the DPRP is next!

about time, i thought the Civil War there would never end, not much left after all those countries broke away, but they've elected a new Tsar, the last living son of Edward VIII, the Prince Patrick, i wonder if the DPRP fails, (it seems on shaky ground) if they'll put Georg Friedrich on the Thrown, or pick some British Royal

Georg Fredrich is already on the throne of Royal Prussia-
Those Hozernhollerns were allowed to rule in Royal Prussia- but the country is a Polish sattellite more or less.
- so I think that would violate the treaty of Versailies- which mandates that any union between the German States is prohibited, inculding the personal union- but I've heard that they might be willing to violate the treaty in any cas- wait, what this on the wireless?

Hmm. What does the king of Bavaria think?

-protests throughout socialist Prussia- concentrated in Berlin- government cannot cope-

OOC: Why did you have to make Russia a monarchy- I implied it wasn't!:mad::p

Oh, and: Independence for Estonia, from the Times.

I take the same stance I always take: I'll support German unification if that's what the German nations want. If the majority of the populations of each nation want to unite with the rest, then I'll support them. If any want to remain separate, then I support them remaining separate as well. I believe everyone has the right to self-determination (well, I wouldn't be much of a Separatist if I didn't).

But realistically, I don't think anything more bonding than a loose confederation will last very long. The German nations have all become too different over these last several decades. Think about it - try to imagine Prussia being part of a unified nation with Bavaria, for example!

Nononononono! Stop trying to spread your revisionist dribble, the reason for the Great War was definitely Germany's fault! What is the history of a united Germany? In half a century, two major European wars, countless colonial massacres of a level of barbarity unseen elsewhere, millions of dead bodies... and you want to allow that horror to exist again? No, I say, never again a Germany.
Oh, come on, Imajin, you can't blame Germany for the Great War! They were dragged into it from their military alliances, same as the British Empire. If the blame lies with anyone it's with the Serbs - they're the ones who started it.

Wel, perhaps a united Germany could have stood against the Bolsheviks? Perhaps we could have stopped them from taking over Eastern Europe and most of the Far East?
Maybe the German Empire could have... but would you? Remember, communism had its fair share of support in Germany at the time, and some of the German nations went communist independently rather than having it forced on them by the USSR. That wouldn't change even if Germany hadn't been partitioned. Rather than standing against the Bolsheviks, a united Germany could very well have turned completely communist itself and become a Soviet ally.

(OOC: Being a "Separatist": the idea is that the British Empire is in a kind of "Imperial Federation" arrangement, and I'm for Victorian independence or some such thing.

By the way, it seems like fate has not wanted me to post on this thread! The first time I tried, I lost the server connection. The second time, my dad interrupted me & started doing work on the laptop. The third time, I lost the connection again. And just now my brother came in & said he had to do work - I have 2 minutes left. Finally, I managed it!)

Have any of you heard the news! Ever since the head of the German Unification League(The next Bismark?) visited Paris, there have been calls for some sort of conference on the matter. I just hope the recent skirmishes on the Prussian boarder don't mar the event...
