In 1887, Prince Frederick of Germany was diagnosed with throat cancer and successfully underwent surgery to remove the tumor. What if he didn't and wound up dying briefly after becoming Kaiser?

Maybe Germany wouldn't be the dominant power in Europe and after the defeat of Nationalist Russia in the Second Great War, the world? True, the Later Ming Dynasty (the anti-Qing revolutionaries placed the Marquis of Extended Grace on the Dragon Throne after driving out the Qing) and the United States of America might be rising powers but the German Empire is still the dominant power of the world.

OOC How do we get one great war let alone two without what would likely be extensive constraints on the eventual reign of Wilhelm II after probably 20 years of the liberal reign of Frederick.

OOC: French Revanchism combined with A-H falling apart after a failed renegotiation of the Ausgleich.

OOC: Fair enough, I'll change it to Nationalist Russia. So WW1 ITTL is an Anglo-German alliance fighting against a Franco-Russian alliance then.
