I've got good feeling about this one!
Suppose, instead of continuing his invaluable work eradicating tropical diseases(in addition to his side-work collecting precious ethnological data), Haiti's beloved Papa Doc had decided to ramp up his humanitarian credentials by returning to politics and running for the presidency some time in the 1950s?
Given his highly impressive track record to that point, I don't see how it could be anything but a win-win for everyone, especially the Haitian people. Is there any possible way it could go wrong?
