DBWI: France Represented on the Union Jack

Am I alone in finding it ridiculous that France is left out of the flag, even though it composes well over a quarter of the Angevin Empire's population?

How would a a flag that actually represents our nation look like?

I think you mean "Aquitaine." Keep in mind that those of us who live under our good king Philip XIV Valois might take offense to the idea that Normandy, Anjou, and half of Aquitaine somehow consititute "France."

What of Flanders, Brittany, or Provence? They may not be officially incorporated into our royal dimense yet, but they are by all means under the control of Richard XI

Admittedly so, but incoporating them would be a violation of the Treaty of Stockholm. I can assure you nobody in our Confederation would look kindly on it. I mean, Im not one of the fire-eaters, administer the territories all you like, and your king may even add the ducial and comtial titles, but, well, we have treaties!

Wouldn't it be easiest to just add some fleur-de-lis to the flag?

*sighs* Again, that is not something I personall ywould be opposed to, but many here will, after what Louis XIX. has done to Germany. IMO, its just the most sensible decision to have a sort of damnatio memoriae upon the House of Capetian Houses, Valois or Bourbon or whatever.

As an outsider, I've always been partial to the 8 Lions Flag(Aquataine, Normandy, England, Ireland, Scotland, Tours, Sicilly and Leon ) or the Palls Flag, (That silly yellow, red and white y-shaped flag, though most dislike it, I still find it charming as it has a simplistic equality of the kingdoms placing the Duchies secondary) even though the Y- is equated with power of the Bishops.
