DBWI football was actually interesting

I was watching the Siesta Bowl this year from the stands and once again it was a zero-zero draw. Ohio State and Michigan put on yet ANOTHER snore fest. Well, I guess it was better than the Ohio State-Illinois game last year. At least one of the shots got tipped wide.

I really wish that football could be faster, like rugby. Maybe allow people to tackle and use their hands. Maybe make it more strategic as well. Like having giving teams a certain amount of chances to get the ball down the field.

I knew there was an attempt to revolutionize the sport in the earlier part of the 20th century in Pittsburgh, but what if it was successful?

GAH! You obviously just don't understand our beautiful game. Football is way better than that ridiculous baseball thing that you guys play up north. Ohio State and Michigan are your only teams that are any good and even they could never compete with the big boys.

Less commercials.

Yep, less commercials, less replays, more than 10 minutes of action in three and a half hours of game time.

Oh and less specialization so the same 11 players have to do everything; maybe allow unlimited substitutions with 5-7 players on the bench, so there's no more 50 man teams.

Agreed, my Badgers literally have to give tickets away to get people to come to their Football games.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is, though. I mean, we've got Rugby and Basketball and Hockey in the winter, making big, big money for college and pros, and Baseball and Lacrosse in the summer. Why do we need another sport anyway? Football, it's like Crew, or Volleyball, or something... just another sport for people to participate in and add to their resume.
