Hey everyone, first let me say that I, as well as the rest of us im sure, feel very sad about whats currently happening in Cuba, I mean with the whole civil war and everything and thousands dying on all sides and our president refusing to even attempt to help either side, not the Cuban Democrats, Cuban Communists or Cuban Islamists (IK we're fighting their masters over in the middle east but thats not enough) using the excuse that it would "violate the peace agreement."

But, I digress, this begenning post shouldnt turn into a rant about my opinions on the Cuban civil war, nor about the peace deal that forced us to cut all ties to Cuba.

So what am I asking? Well as we all know, back in the 60s, Cuba had recently finished its communist revolution and Fidel Castro was their leader. We also know that dispite all our efforts to overthrow him he stayed in power for many years to come. As we recently found out he was actually directly involved with the US Communist Insurgency that assasinated President Barry Goldwater in 1966, him revealing this about a year ago now is what started the civil war after the Government Seat of Havana was bombed by the Cuban Democratic faction, killing both Fidel and Raul Castro.

So, with Fidel Castro's confession being such a turning point in Cuban Politics in OTL, I wonder, how would history have been different if, on the day of the assassination, not only was the assassin caught but also Fidel Castro himself
