DBWI: FDR Isn't Assassinated In 1939

Let's say Franklin R. Roosevelt survived his assassination on September 1st, 1939. IT has been said that he wanted to run for a third term as president, which no one has yet to do, but lets say he did. He was popular enough.

How would history have been different, World War Two in particular?

well, the United States would still have gone to war, most likely earlier than OTL. IIRC it was 1942 that the Americans finally realised that Nazism wasn't going to go away by itself. Thank god we still won against Hitler.

Now the postwar world, that's more interesting. Would we still have had a very high period of tension with the USSR? Maybe even Nuclear War?
