DBWI: Edward VI is sickly

Would Mary Tudor, Electress Palatinate try to claim the English crown in this case, she accepted her case was hopeless for the throne and decided to marry the Elector Palatinate on 1545, would she still marry her husband, Philip of Palatinate if she knows her brother Edward VI is sickly and instead marry Philip II of Spain to try to claim the English throne?

Well Edward’s right would be always higher than hers and Edward pretty much hated Mary and what she represented. A wedding between Mary and the Emperor (as Mary would most likely try to marry the father and not the son) or the future Philip II will never happen while Edward is still alive as he was allied with France (as he married princess Elizabeth of France after losing the chance to marry Mary of Scotland) and so would disinherited his sister if she married against his will

Still Edward, unlike his father, was able to conquer Scotland marrying his heir Henry IX to Elizabeth Valois of Scotland (the only child of the poor Mary of Scotland and Francis II of France)

Mary chose to marry for love during the last years of her father's reign because her brother, and one of the factors for her decision was that the then Edward, Prince of Wales was strong so she decided to leave since she has no prospects for her future in England.

But yeah if he is sickly she might try to bide her time and not marry until she suspiciously kills her brother.

Or Elizabeth Tudor ends up taking her out first. She was the real power behind Edward for a long time. Though maybe Edward VI being sickly would change the dynamics of his relationship with this sister and somehow make him dislike her or disinherit her?

Absolutely possible. Elizabeth Tudor, Duchess of Leicester was one of the biggest players during the reigns of her brother and nephew and she was always able to get everything she wanted and placed her men in position of power (is well know who Francis Walsingham, William Cecil and George Talbot were all men of Elizabeth). She learned well how rule behind the throne from her father-in-law, the Duke of Northumberland. I do not know if Mary Tudor would be ever a match for her younger and much smarter half-sister
