DBWI: Double Blind What If

Yeah, P is inaccurate in this case. Redem's "How did you live the war", an example of the kind of imprecise definition P is gahhing at, is itself more than a year old.

Well I'm not sure but I think this particular thread was amongt the first RPG-DBWI on the board :p

Dear me! I feel old. :D Well, I would, had I not managed to get ID'd at the supermarket the other day.

The Picture of Dorian P? :D

I've managed to avoid getting ID'd since I acquired this facial topiary. I blame the fact that I forgot P Minor's Variety Pack and had to rush off to get it - probably looked like I was faking a reason to be all red-faced.

Don't worry I don't think you are a grumpy old man...yet :D

You young whippersnapper! :D

I think I have caused this so here is my take on it. A BDWI could, as mentioned, be "DBWI: What if the South had lost the Civil War?" As for the Tibet tread, it would have been something like "DBWI: What if the Chinese would have invaded during the obscure border chrisis?" or "DBWI: What if strange biochemical reaction happens in Mao's brain, changing stuff?" Both would have been a strict interpetation of the meaning of a DBWI.

But we don't notice small stuff in the same way we did the outcome of the big war. Sure, someone who knows China as good as Hendryk could pop in and talk about plans to invade Tibet and say they decided not to due to reason X.

But regardless of that, what we are doing is discussing the outcome of a POD from the perspective of a alternate time line.

But yes, I am willing to use something like ATLWI.
