DBWI: Doomsday WI: WI the Rock of Gibralter was destroyed?

Map it out for me. In 2004, terrorists attempted to use a series of bombs to weaken the Rock of Gibralter enough so that the lowlands would be completely flooded, with a new sea appearing on the western half of Eurasia. Clearly, hundreds of millions would have died, and the economic shockwaves alone killing many more.

But what would the world have looked like after, with the high-landers no longer eclipsed by the civilizations of the Gorge?

ooc: It's here to highlight the fact that the pillar of gibralter is a natural seismic even from the beginning of time, nothing more.
