DBWI: Disneyland didn't fail

Disneyland was going to be ambitious. Walt Disney, already reaching his greatest of successes built it to entertain children the world over. However, after numerous construction problems and an unintentionally large opening day turnout, the opening day was a disaster. The press tore the park to shreds and it closed soon after. What if managed to survive?

I'd imagine they'd create a lot more attractions based on their IPs. I would've loved to have seen a real-life version of Flynn's Arcade from Tron or the End of Line club from Tron: Legacy (man I can't believe that movie bombed).

Walt was ahead of his time when it came to theme parks. I imagine if Disneyland had survived it would look a lot like the Universal resorts we have today in Southern California and Central Florida. Massive resorts with hotels, multiple theme parks, and high end attractions based on movies. Just a guess on my part but it's a known fact that Universal used a lot of Walt's basic ideas (and they hired some of his people) when they designed their parks.
