DBWI Czar Alexander II hadn't survived his assassination attempt?

We all know that on March 13th 1881 an assasination attempt on the life Alexander II took place. He was a reformist Czar and his death could have radically changed Russian history. Fortunately it was poorly executed. The first two bombs failed to kill him and the third was never thrown as the one who should have thrown it was drunk; sleeping in a gutter somewhere. He freed the serfs, opened up the country to foreign investors and entrepreneurs so Russia could industrialize, instituted a constitution and parliament (Duma), also Russia's infrastructure was greatly improved upon during his reign which lasted from 1855 to 1906. Both his son and heir apparent, Alexander and his grand son Nicholas were very conservative and would have become Czar had he died that day. It still wasn't ideal as a lot of power was still invested in the Czar. But a weak bourgeois democracy was better than no democracy at all. What would Russia be like if Alexander II had died that day?

I think that one German scholar, i think his name was Karl Marx, would have had a greater influence on Russia, I feel that it would have been plausable for russia to have become a comunist country due to the disatifaction of the people.

Have you even read Karl Marx? I took a class on obscure German philosophers, so I feel like I know something about the subject. The Communist ideology was designed for industrial states! Russia may have some industry, but even today it's mostly agrarian... and when Communism was most popular in the elite circles, it was even moreso. Communism could only come to power in Germany or similarly industrialized states, and the fact that it didn't even happen there OTL should show you that there's zero chance for Marxism, especially not in Russia.

And what about the Great War? The son of Alexander II who would have been Alexander III had his father not ruled so long, was quite a Germanophobe and this could have led to the disintegration of the League of Three Emperors. In real history Austria-Hungary and Russia eventually cut up the Balkans into spheres of influence which ended their feud. Czar Vladimir who died in 1909 and his successor Cyril maintained this alliance. What kind of Great War would we have gotten if the Three Emperor's League had disintegrated?

I think Imajin is right about Communism. Good thing it never got to rear its ugly head. Communism would never have worked out. People are just to egocentric for that. Maybe Russia could have turned into a republic after a revolution or something.

I think the nobility would have stepped in and taken power, probably resulting in an oligarchy. I mean, who else could gain power? Surely not the peasants?

OOC: dude, this is a DBWI. Secondly, eliminating the Czar was unthinkable and it isn't as if these changes are all happening suddenly. It's gradual. Thirdly, the nobles didn't do anything when Alexander II abolished serfdom.

Were Alexander killed, I truly think Russia would have fallen into bad times somewhere along the line. I doubt his son would have continued his reforms if not repealed them entirely which would have led to massive upset economically and in the minds of the people (regardless of what some of the conservative historians may say), and I doubt Nicholas would have done any better, seeing as he loved his leisure more than anything else and I doubt would have been able to run a restaurant let alone Imperial Russia. Alexander ensured the stability of his people through his policies of modernization and his success cut the legs out from under the Nihilist radicals. Without them continued as only he would have allowed, I believe Russia would have fallen into revolution with either the reformed monarchists or democrats or even a continued Nihilist faction taking power. I have doubts the Russian Communists would have had any success as their numbers were small and their message usually fell on deaf ears, and the anarchists even less.
