DBWI: Cyrus: A new alternate history novel

So has anyone here read/heard of Cyrus. It is apparently about how some backwards tribesmen from Parsa overtake the Meadian Empire. If that wasn't ASB enough Cyrus (the Parsa leader) also conquers Lydia, Babylon, and his son conquers Eygpt. Hahahaha complete ASB. Not only that but his Empire dosent fall almost immediately after his death. Talk about god-mode sue. Am I right. So what do you guys think about this ASB claptrap?

I guess you haven't read the whole series, so spoilers beware, but in later novels [Highlight to Read Spoilers] the Persian Empire falls to a Greek conqueror called Alexander.

Yeah but is it delayed? What about the Greco-Carthaginian wars?

I heard that the next novel will involve a character named Chinggis Khan who will be even more of a God Mode Sue.

Personally, I found it rather implausible that (spoiler) they completely failed at conquering Greece.

I know. I mean it is a good underdog story and all. But seriously the author set Persia up as this super advanced, culturally refined, invincible empire that is able to summon a huge amount of men to arms. Then he expects the audience to believe that they got beat by some people who were rustic hicks, in comparison. And don't even get me started on the ass pull that was Salamis
