DBWI Conservatives win the 1992 UK general election

The Tories came quite close, despite the poll tax and the leadership change (the election has similarities to 1964 which I've seen discussed here). What would have happened if Major had pulled an upset?

Labour would have won big in '97; Tories would have likely been hit hard by Black Wednesday, with their airs to fiscal responsibility utterly destroyed, and continuing Major's creeping social conservatism would have come back even harder if the same kind of scandals hit him like they hit the Opposition Tories in 1992-1997. Labour, under the leadership of someone like Gordon Brown, could lurch forward and win in the high 300s.
