Legendary actor and comedian Chris Farley is known for his evolving range as an actor as well as being the face of recovered addicts. Though nearly every role of his is comic (and hilarious,) he did one Oscar-winning performance in Metamorphosis, a “fictional” account of a comic who nearly dies from obesity, alcohol and cocaine dependence. However, like Farley, his character enters rehab and finds God, reinvents himself, and becomes a clean comedian (well, cleaner; he’s quite fond of mild curse words and sexually implicit situations.)

In 1997, Farley had a close call with an overdose of cocaine and morphine; by most accounts, he barely survived. After that, he turned his life around, lost a bunch of weight, quit drinking and doing drugs, and started going to church.

How would the entertainment industry be different if Farley died?
