DBWI: China goes communist

so, what if the chinese communists weren't overrun in Manchuria in 1946 and somehow managed to take power in china, how would it look like?

China goes communist?? You're joking right!! How can there be a marxist revolution in a country without a proletariat??

they had some sort of a working class(not a majority, though) in more industrialized areas, especially manchuria.since manchuria was captured by the soviets in ww2 and was the communist stronghold in the sort chinese civil war of 1945-46, a manchurian communist state seems more plausible than a completely red china

Well,a Communist China would still be powerful[though nowhere near as economically powerful as Democratic China]. Perhaps,a China-Soviet alliance could emerge, spreading Communism throughout Asia? A Communist China might also have led to a later fall of the Soviet Union.

China a Democracy, that's even more ASB than a communist China. I would not call Kuomintang China a democracy, more a One- Party Capitalist State (at least since the 80s, before that it had a system similar to the one in India). I'd say any China that's not ruled by a right- wing (with left- wing features) nationalist party is ASB.

alright, if a completely commie china is asb, how much is the chance of communists in manchuria holding out against nationalist armies and establishing their own state here?
also; would a communist manchuria save the communists from being overrun in korean civil war?

A commy Manchuria would survive as long as USSR bother to support them. I guess USSR would need a Communist Manchuria if they would want North Korea to survive, otherwise North Korea would just like IRL be crushed in the Korean war.

When we are talking about such impossible phenomenas as a Communist China one have to wonder; would a Communist China behave in the same way as Kuomintang China, i.e. conquest of Tibet and support of the nationalist revolution in Vietnam.

well, a communist china probably would support the revolution in vietnam as it was against colonial powers and such. but i'm not that sure about tibet.it's just a remote, worthless piece of land and i still wonder why the nationalists invaded it.
