DBWI: Catherine of Aragon, Queen of France did not have a stillborn son with Arthur, Prince of Wales

What if Catherine of Aragon, the Queen of France did not have a stillborn son with Prince Arthur of Wales in 1502 and was a childless widow, would she marry Henry VIII of England or still Charles IX,?, the wife of Charles IX, the son of Charles VIII, Catherine of Aragon produced 6 children all in all with him since 1510 as the Queen of France.

The marriage wouldn’t have gone through with the same reasons as OTL—Ferdinand wasn’t gonna pay the luxurious dowry he promised to pay.Whether the marriage was consummated or not was unimportant given Henry VII prepared two different types of papal dispensation including one that permitted a marriage of Catherine to Henry Junior even if the marriage between Catherine and Arthur was consummated.Maybe if Henry Junior ascended the throne in 1509 that might happen, given accounts stated that Henry Jr was heads over heels for his sister in law,but given Henry VII lived till 1520,that’s not gonna happen.Henry VII was simply way too cunning to be cheated.Unlike with England,Ferdinand simply did not dare to cheat King of France out of the dowry given the King of France could have gotten what he was owed by force if necessary.

Henry VIII had no justification for an annulment with Germaine de Foix that is why his daughter, Elizabeth and her husband James V were able to ascend the thrones of England and Scotland after Henry VIII's death.

I am just imagine the horrors that she would have lived trough as the wife of Henry VIII, the man was terrible to his three wives and went insane by syphilis in his mid-thirties.

She and Charles were happy and she became the mother of a illustrious generation of France.

Yes, although their children were inbred due to them being descended from John II of Aragon.

Charles was not descended from John II of Aragon, only Catherine. And their children were not any more inbreed than their contemporaries.
