DBWI Cat Stevens didn't drown?

I really like Cat Stevens's music, and I think it's really tragic how he drowned while swimming at Malibu in 1975. What do you think his life would have been like had he survived? What sort of new music would he make?

(OOC: In OTL, Cat Stevens' nearly drowning was the catalyst that led to his conversion to Islam. POD is he dies.)

It's possible that he might just have peaked at that point and faded into obscurity, but the enduring lyricism of his songs probably means he would still be around as a major influence to today's young artists if not still writing and recording himself.
I remember the controversy in the church not so long ago when the hymnals words to Morning has broken had the author named as Stevens and not Eleanor Farjeon.

I don't know but most artists end up as drug abusers. Sure, some don't, they tend to be musical nerds. Which category does he belong to.
