DBWI: Castile And Aragon Unite

In 1469, Isabella I of Castile nearly married Fernando II of Aragon, only for the marriage to be called off. What if the marriage happened and cAstile and Aragon united? What if?

Probably leads to less success for the Castilians in the Americas, with all those Italian distractions.

With Castille and Aragon in personal union there's no way Portugal could have stayed indpendent as long as it did. Even with only having to fight Castille in our time line, it was still completely annexed by 1650

Here are some effects:
Americas: Less colonial success and greater French and English influence.
England: The Anglo-Aragonese alliance is non- existent and so England becomes more powerful on its own, perhaps getting bits of South America.
France:With a stronger Spanish enemy, Francis I never holds much of Germany, loses Italy and doesn't get colonies in the Americas.
Portugal:royally screwed
Netherlands: Stronger Castilian Hapsburg rule.
Italy:Ruled by the combined might of Castile and Aragon, for a little while.
Austria:probably still inherited by Castilian Hapsburgs and is more powerful, repulsing the Turks.
HRE:protestantism is royally screwed.

Um, Austria OTL was ruled by the Habsburgs long before the Castile-Aragon personal union.

So unless this means that in the DBWI the Castiliean (Spanish) branch inherited from thee Austrian half, I think this one makes no sense.

OOC:I mean still personal union with Spain.
Yeah, the wording was wrong.
