DBWI: Castile and Aragon not equal partners in the Crown of Spain?

So as we all know, the royal marriage of Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon led to the unification of Spain. As one might expect, Castile and Aragon became relatively equal partners in the new realm. Aragon's Mediterranean holdings were counterbalanced by Castile's extra population.

But what if it had turned out differently? What if the two kingdoms didn't have roughly equal power, and instead Aragon, with its colonial holdings in Italy, more urbanized territory, and wealthier nobility managed to dominate? (I imagine Castile dominating Aragon is just ASB, like Russia dominating Poland).

one thing to remember is that Isabella was unwillingly to enter any relationship where she wasn’t treated as an equal, so I’d guess you’d have to find a way remove her from the scene but still have the two countries unite.

Maybe La Beltranjera manages to claim the throne instead and marries Ferdinand in her stead?

OOC: Will the polities to the east of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth still come to be collectively referred to as "Russia" ITTL? Especially if they are dominated by Poland -- the PLC called the polity that called itself "Tsardom of Russia" the "Tsardom of Muscovy".

OOC: Muscovy and the areas that we know today as Russia were the punching bag of the PLC for a long time. it got to the point the locals went form "Winter suuuucks" to "hey, PLC left us alone. Snow is coming in a month. Lovely Winter!"

I read one time that, before Cristopher Columbos went to England , he asked to the monarchs of Castille-Aragon for his plan of crossing the Atlantic Ocean to arrive in East Asia. If Spain, and not England, had been the first european power to arrive in the Americas, the balance of power between the spanish kingdoma could have changed, perhaps in favor pf the Crow of Castille, as they are the ones with the Atlantic coast and a bigger population to colonize.
