DBWI: Canada leaves the United States

The Republicans' coalition with the Loyalists (ironic name for a separatist party if there ever was one) is going to bite the in the ass one day.

After the colonies who were up happy went north. I am not sure but a large amount, not 600,000 to 700,000 but they did not all go to Canada. At the time it was a large amount. At the time the people in Canada the Loyalist were called the time they were often called Tories, Royalists, or King's Men;

No way was Helms letting Canada go; the referendum was a ploy to generate political capital and fool everyone that America was a democracy. Plus, Helms did not want Canada to align with the FBU or the Eurasian Imperial Alliance.

Of course, the Helms of 1995 was more rational and pragmatic than the Helms of 1975.

People also forget the many anti-Japanese riots that took place throughout the 1980s, wherein the East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere was "stealing jobs from hard-working Americans".

As a "person of color" and a journalist, something that bothers me about the Canadian secessionist movement is how 90% of the members, especially those seen at rallies are mainly white people, similar to the demographics of those at rallies to "Save the Confederate Flag".

I bet your journalism degree was given to you by the Federal Department of Media Management.:rolleyes: The truth is that we are far more inclusive than your government, which is 100% white.

Oh, it would have been bloody. Congress and SCOTUS are all puppets of the White House, making any political challenge doomed from the start. Remember the Mall just three years earlier.

(OOC: the ATL Civil Rights movement led to an occupation of the Washington Mall, which was crushed Tiananmen-style, hence "The Mall" becoming synonymous with the dictatorship)

OOC: Only took three posts for someone to derail the thread by making the USA a dictatorship. Even by the Canada wankers on the board, thats goota be some kind of record. Seriously, why is every thread on here where the USA absorbs Canada derailed?

OOC: Because having Canada peacefully merge with the US with a post-1900 POD is fucking hard?

Well, yeah, but to be fair, how many black people do you see in Canada? Canada's significant minorities are Japanese and First Nation people, and the FNs have been treated like shit by everyone. And the riots were also because the Japanese had defended the Kingdom of Hawaii against American efforts to "retake" it.

At least Hawaii is a real democracy and racially inclusive. Otherwise I would have gone to exile in New Zealand.

Plus, coconuts and pineapples are a real cash cow, and the Japanese buy a lot of it. The USA would have stolen them if it conquered Hawaii.

Yeah, my family's Jewish and my grandparents fled there after Coughlin rose to power, to be succeeded by Helms. The big champions of democracy in this world really are the German and Japanese Empires, especially against Tsarist Russia, the FBU, and Helm's America.
