DBWI: Can Anybody stop the BRMs?

OOC: OK, This is a shameless ripoff. So sue me. :D I've even designed a couple tracks for this, too, and am working on more......

Man, right now, I think the entire World Championship Field has GOT to be asking themselves whether the BRM team can actually be beaten. Five rounds down in the World Championship, and the BRMs of Greg Moore, Tomas Schekter, Tony Kanaan and Rachana Karishma have won all of them.

Schekter got the opener in Cape Town, Karishma took the win at
Phillip Island, and Kanaan at long last got his second win in Rio. Moore won Miami and Mexico City, and the BRM team has a commanding points lead.

Last year's champs Reynard have got to be wondering what they are doing wrong, Richard Burns, Gabriel Barak and Robert Kubica have had a hard time even scoring.

Well, the first race in Europe at Valencia went to Moore. Big surprise there.

I wonder if those morons who said that BRM couldn't win without a British driver have shut up yet?

Poor Reynard! I heard that they were talking to Gilles again - are they THAT desperate?????? And How about Justin Gurney in the Lotus? He's got a fast car, too bad it hasn't held together. He almost had Shekter at Rio until his suspension let go.

^ I'd heard that rumor - but good grief, I cannot believe they'd go to Gilles.

Gurney NEARLY had Schekter. Gurney's lucky the suspension let go where it did, too - he was on a slow section, so he limped it back into the pits and got back into the race.

About Gilles: I'm as shocked a you are, but I guess when you go from Champ to Chump in one season, you are willing to try anything. Man, I don't know what they did to that chassis, but I've never seen anything that unstable on fast straights since the Beatrice-Haas Lolas a bunch of years ago.

And I saw in Motorsport that Jackie Stewart and Damon Hill have just bid to take over the Tyrrell organization. Apparently they have a line on some new engines being developed by GM of Germany. Now THAT could be interesting!!

I read that bit about Tyrrell, too. I'm kinda surprised at it, to be honest. I know that Jackie and Ken Tyrrell have always been great friends, but I can't say that I'm not surprised at Sir Jackie buying Ken's team.

I wonder just how good the GM engines are, too. The old Chevrolet turbos had power to burn, but always did struggle with fuel economy.

The Reynards were all over the place at Rio, entering Turn one it was all the Reynard guys could do to keep them off the fence. Absolutely all over the place. I know they intend to have the R08-V2 ready for Monaco, but that means they are still screwed for Monza and Crystal Palace. Monza in those cars is gonna be absolutely terrifying, I'm sure.

The Ferraris are doing better this year, too. I still think that playboy Raikkonen and that overhyped, underskilled leadfoot Dalmas aren't worth their weight. At least Michael is showing how its done.
