What if California didn't get the western part of the Arizona Territory?
OOC: TBH, I don't think California getting western Arizona will work very well. I suggest we change it to southern Nevada instead.
IC: You mean Nevada, right? TBH, I really don't know what could happen. Las Vegas is a fairly sizable city(about 190,000 right now, though the city itself hasn't grown much) with a notable metro; there's plenty of Liberal Dissenter Mormons over there, and a little gambling, though most gaming west of the Rio Grande is in Salt Lake these days(The Paiute & Shoshone Native American tribes needed some cash, and the city wanted to benefit from tourism). Do note, though, that the mob outfit of William "Little Bill" Cipriano did build a few casinos in the Reno Valley area, given Nevada's lax regulations on said type of enterprise, so if you can keep Las Vegas in Nevada you might be able to really build up that city, too(Reno Valley has about 240,000 people today).
OOC: Well, who says gambling couldn't still pop up even without the Mob?
