DBWI: Bush's Third Term

Bush recently won the election with a landslide against Barack Obama, taking Cascadia and Costa Rica, the vital key states, leaving Obama with Quebec, Illinois, Hawaii and Chiapas.

I have to say Bush's record surpluses as well as the successes in Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan and Venezuela also helped.

Now with the recent Space Exploration and Mineral Extraction act, which allows for Halliburton to get to some Asteroids, America's best days are ahead of it.

What do you think?

(OOC: bring on Galactic Patrol!! :D )

(IC: ) There is, literally, nowhere to go but up! I am looking forward to the breakout into space. There were some lean years in nuclear power, but I am glad I stayed with it. Now that we have proven sustainable fusion reactors possible, all we now need do is make them commercially viable - off of the lab bench and into the CAD program!

I know we Americans come off as overbearing, but the Cheney Doctrine seems to have made clear to the world that we will tolerate just about anything execpt killing people wantonly and messing with the US! I was glad to see that he appears to be recovering from the heart attack a few weeks ago, but I am also glad that Lynne put her foot down and told Bush the Younger to find a new Veep. Personally, I would like to see Huckabee nominated.

i think that Bush has managed to do the impossible: Get America off of oil. I remember his father getting the US hooked on oil during his presidency. It was a big mistake. Thankfully, his son managed to end this "oil addiction".

The only reason We have this space programme is because Bush cut the earmarks by 90% and managed to cancel some of the more ludicrous DoD spending (LBH, gay bombs?) and getting America's education system back on track.

The only reason Bush Snr. got the Job was because of Reagan's Alzheimer's in 1991. Bush then won re-election against Perot, which was extremely lucky.

Then in 1996, Bush lost re-election against Bill Clinton. Clinton then lost to Bush Jnr. in 2000.

Seeing the Writing on the wall about a potential hijacking, Bush got the Aerospace security act passed which mandated better airport security, specifically blast doors on the cockpits. Because of this the 9/11 attacks were a ridiculous joke.

IIRC, Bush is not running for a 4th term. Thank goodness for the 22nd amendment not being passed.

OOC: You just made Jesus cry.

OOC: You just made Jesus cry.
OOC: I suspect George W. Bush here is a man with political beliefs I could vaguely potentially agree with, or at least be willing to swallow in order to get us into space.

I think it's obvious he has to be different though, what with Cascadia and Costa Rica mentioned as states/regions. Some sort of long distant PoD...this Bush is definitely not the man we know.

With that kind of record? ASB!

Anyway, it doesn't say 'George W Bush' anywhere, just 'Bush' and 'Bush Jr.'. So assuming we're talking about a competent president that excludes Neil and George...

The only Junior is George (IE: George H.W. Bush; George W. Bush; same name, hence Jr.). Jeb isn't a Junior. So it is Georgie-poo.

Let's credit Obama's missteps during the campaign for Bush's landslide. I doubt that spontainiously shouting, "Allah-uh Akbar!" during his acceptence speech helped his prospects.
