DBWI: Buffy considered a classic and feminist

In OTL, a man named Joss Whedon pitched an idea based on a failed movie. It lasted only one season, but is one of the most hated television shows in history. Joss was a horrible sexist who put women in humiliating outfits, and was recently fired for working on a Superman movie for groping the woman playing Lois Lane. One infamous episode involved a vampire rip off Buffy's clothes, and the camera pointed to her feet throughout the episode. At the same time, Cop Rock(OOC:i magine the praise of early Glee, but with the lasting impact of the 7 season Buffy that got made in real life) was groundbreakingly feminist, lasted seven seasons, had a short-lived(OOC: Firefly style impact) but memorable spinoff with a black female cop, which resonated with police violence, especially in Los Angeles(OOC:Rodney King)at the time.

Prevent his divorce, Josh Whedon used to have a pretty progressive view on women, relationships and life in general, but he had the misfortune of marrying a drug addict, who pretty much took him to the cleaners in the divorce and then killed their children and herself in drunk driving accident. He pretty much had an emotional breakdown after his kids died and Buffy suffered for that. Keep his ex clean, prevent the accident or have them never meet and that would more or less do it.

Of course, that might have done it, but still, the skilled Joe Francis was always much more feminist. Joe Francis once wrote(and his wife directed) a short film about a family with two women raising a little boy who were both witches(OOC:imagine Willow and Tara having kids), and that film won awards, even if it had a sad ending.
